We welcome you and your family to participate in the 2nd Annual Scranton Turkey Trot! This 5k run and 1 Mile Fun Walk serves to bring the community together to exercise, have fun and give thanks on one of the best days of the year. What better way to start your Thanksgiving than family, football, and a 5k.
Whether this is your first 5K or you're a seasoned runner, we welcome you and encourage you to partake.
The race begins at 9:00 AM in the hopes it won't interfere with any of the day’s other activities. The 5K scenic course is mostly flat with a few rolling hills. There are no street crossings.
Snacks and refreshments will be provided after the race including Dunkin Donuts Coffee and Apple Cider.
Proceeds from the event will be presented to the Nay Aug Park Association for the continued revitalization of Nay Aug in the name of the James "Red" McAndrew Foundation. A Hill Section native, Red often boasted that Nay Aug Park was a diamond within the city of Scranton, and we look forward to helping preserve it.
