Located on Plymouth Road just east of Haggerty Road in Plymouth Twp., Michigan, the building currently known as the Arctic Pond was originally built in 1962 and was used as the Old Plymouth Bowl. In 1990 the Plymouth Bowl closed and in the spring of 1998 the building was bought by a group of hockey fathers lead by John Stansik to transform the bowling alley into an ice facility known as the Arctic Pond. Over the years, the Arctic Pond has grown and become the home of the Victory Honda AAA Hockey Club, The Livonia Ladywood Girls Varsity Hockey Club, Kim Muir's "Can't Skate, Can't Play" power skating clinics, and the RSPI Adult Hockey League. The Arctic Pond also hosts EDGEZ Proshop and the Declan's on the Pond Concession stand along with weekly drop in hockey, sticks and pucks, and senior drop in hockey times.
